The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has accredited SMIT for all the five B.Tech courses offered by SMIT vide their letter No. NBA/ACCR-860/06 dated: Jan 22, 2008.

• Institute has also been awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2008 certification and the same has been certified under Norsk Akkreditering, Norway.
• SMIT has established collaboration with various international and nationalorganisations in the field of nanotechnology.
• Different steps have been taken to cater to recent developments in the field of materials science. Excellent research facilities are
• being developed through both institute and sponsored funds from various research agencies. A Centre for Excellence in Remote
• Sensing & GIS has been established in Institute with the support of ISRO.
• As per CSR-GHRDC Engineering Colleges Survey 2014, SMIT is ranked 5th position amongst Top Emerging Colleges of Super excellence, 8th position
