- An “Innovation Studio” was created to for the students to garner innovative ideas and convert them into commercially viable products.
- Alumni Engagement Cell was set up to facilitate alumni to take an active part in institutional affairs.
- International Collaboration Cell and Student exchange program , IAESTE set-up in SMIT
- Centre for Faculty Development has been set-up to impart training stage-wise to cater to the needs of every level of cadres of the teaching staff.
- A special Coaching Unit has been established to prepare students for GATE, GRE, NET and other competitive exams.
