Centre for Materials Science and Nano Technology (CMSNT) - SMIT was established in 2009 and it offers MTech course in Materials Science and Nano Technology.
The course uses a theoretical approach with a minor research program during first year. The second year is fully devoted for research work for giving adequate exposures to the students for nano materials development and characterisation.

I gained a lot of Knowledge in theoretical subjects from our excellent faculty members. They have a vast range of knowledge regarding the technology and are always ready to help and motivate.
It is an opportunity for me to be a part of department, before joining Nanotechnology it was only a word for me but after learning with in this few months it is a whole world.
Nanotechnology is motivations of my life. This is the field of study where we can explore a lot of space in nanoscale and learn a lot about the building blocks of nature.
I have got lot of experiences in my M.tech course as the faculty members were highly qualified. Also we have got all the latest characterization equipment for learning.
