Department of Physiology presents International Yoga Day 2024
Department of Physiology, SMIMS, SMU celebrated 10th International Yoga Day (IYD) on the theme “Yoga for self & society” on the 21st of June 2024.
The Internal committee(IC) and Gender Equality Committee of Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences (SMIMS), jointly organized an awareness and sensitization program on Gender Equality and Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace. The Theme of the program was ‘Building a Respectful and Inclusive Workplace: Promoting Gender Equality and Preventing Sexual Harassment’.
5th June 2024: NSS Sikkim Manipal University observed World Environment Day 2024 with zeal and enthusiasm. A brief orientation session about various prospects of Environment, Climate Change and Challenges was organised on the campus to begin with the celebration.
On May 31st, 2024, STPI Gangtok organized an engaging outreach event focusing on the "Open Challenge Programme - 5.0 (OCP)". This initiative aims to incubate startups, students, and professionals in new and emerging technologies, particularly in IT applications within the healthcare sector.
The Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Liberal Arts (FHSSLA), Sikkim Manipal University celebrated Euphoria 2024 from May 29, 2024, to June 1, 2024. Euphoria is an annual fest of FHSSLA that combines sports and cultural activities.

I wish to thank all my teachers at SMIMS for fostering the preliminary medical training that I received during my undergraduate studies at SMIMS – I will always cherish the memories and the campus
If I could turn back time and re-live the SMIMS journey I would! and I am always in gratitude to my teachers for the M.B.B.S educational training I received
I consider myself very fortunate that I did complete my medical school from SMIMS, It is the top echelon of medical education in India.
SMIMS has made me who I am today, and I am ready to take over the challenges that may come in any form, without a doubt the former medical training I received at SMIMS has shaped me to my strongest version.
