The Department of AI&DS recently held a successful 4-day workshop on Web Technology, aimed at enhancing students’ understanding and practical skills in this essential area of computer science. The workshop was led by Mr. Sital Sharma and Mrs. Sangita Chakraborty, Assistant Professors in the Department of AI&DS at SMIT, who provided students with a robust foundation in Web Technology. The event was overseen by Dr. O.P Singh, the Head of the Department of AI&DS, who offered expert guidance and ensured the smooth execution of the program.

The objective of the Web Technology workshop for 3rd semester students was to provide a comprehensive understanding and practical skills in web development. Specifically, the workshop aimed to:

1.     Build a Strong Foundation: Introduce students to the fundamental concepts of web technology, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

2.     Enhance Practical Skills: Equip students with hands-on experience in creating and managing web pages and applications.

3.     Explore Advanced Topics: Familiarize students with web servers, domains, and content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.

4.     Promote Practical Application: Enable students to apply their knowledge in real- world scenarios, preparing them for future projects and professional opportunities.
