The seminar titled “Ultracoherent Lasers and Whispering Gallery Mode Resonator for Optical Sensing Applications” was organized by Student Research Forum, SMIT, SMU in collaboration with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering as a part of SRF, SMIT, SMU event calendar. Dr. Amit Kumar Shakya was the keynote speaker who provided the insights of his research work. In the seminar he had explained about the topic along with the applications in the modern times.
The event started on 01/10/2024 at 05:00 PM. SRF student representative of ECE Department, Mr. Anirudh Jaiswal started with the introductory speech and shared about the educational and research background of the resource person and handed over to him. Dr. Amit Kumar Shakya then started the presentation and explained about the topic with his example projects. While presenting, he had shown around 6 of his projects to make students and attendees understand the topic easily. In the end, some of the attendees asked certain questions related to the topic. This was followed by Dr. Jitendra Singh Tamang Sir, Faculty representative, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering presenting an e-memento to the resource person. Finally, the event was concluded with the resource person sharing his feedback to the attendees. He thanked the entire SRF team and SMIT to invite him for this seminar.
