Mr. Ashis Datta (Departmental Coordinator) Dr. Joydeep Biswas (SRF Chairperson) |
The event started on the 16th of January, 2025, at 5:30 PM in the Seminar Hall with Torsha, the President of SRF, addressing all attendees of the event, and thereafter warmly welcoming the speaker for the event, Mr. Tushar Nayan an alumni member of SMIT, who is currently also serving in the capacity of a research assistant at the Florida International University, along with being a Ph.D candidate in Computer Science. His areas of focus lies in security and privacy of machine learning models, AI security, and software engineering for AI. The session was very insightful and gave us a clear idea of the importance of on-device AI and how to further secure it. The Q&A session hosted with Mr. Nayan towards the end of the talk was also very helpful, especially for beginners looking to learn more about this field. The event was concluded by our SRF Chairperson, Dr. Joydeep Biswas, thanking Mr. Nayan for taking his time to enlighten the students and make them understand the sheer importance of research.
