The event titled “BUILDING A GREENER TOMORROW: LIFE-CYCLE THINKING TO SUSTAINABLE DESIGN” was a joint seminar organized by both the CESA (Civil Engineering Student’s Association) Council and Student Research Forum, SMIT, SMU as a part of Research activity scheduled for the month of September. The event was hosted in a class room, A-310. The event started at 5:15 PM with the introduction part delivered by Dhanashri Harugade of VII Semester CE Department, followed by EBTO Marli Bagra and Dr. Hari Bhakta Sharma sharing about his opinion regarding the same. DR. VR Sankar Cheela was the keynote speaker for the event. He shared his insights on how availibitlity of green energy resources and its proper utilization can lead to a sustainable and energy efficient future. The use of solar energy even for residential buildings play a significant role in the reduction of consumption of electricity from other resources. Finally, the event was concluded at 06:30 PM by the vote of thanks delivered by Dhanashri Harugade.
