RAGGING IS A CRIMINAL OFFENCE AND THE CULPRITS WILL ATTRACT PUNITIVE ACTION AS MENTIONED IN THE UGC REGULATIONS
In line with the organizational policy to foster a safe and respectful workplace environment, a Mandatory PoSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Sensitization Session was held in the Conference Hall of Centre for Distance and Online Education, CDOE on 27th of January 2025, at 3:00 PM.
The workshop provided an in-depth understanding of networking fundamentals, covering key concepts essential for both beginners and advanced learners. Participants explored the OSI reference model, which serves as a structured framework for data communication across different layers.
The Republic Day celebration was held on 26th January 2025 with great enthusiasm and patriotism. Dr Sourav Dhar, Director CDOE welcomes all attendees, including faculty members and staff. Event began with a national anthem with followed by the various activities to mark the significance of the day.
A staff picnic was organized on February 26, 2025 at the scenic Raniban picnic spot, providing an opportunity for faculty and staff members to unwind, socialize, and strengthen their bonds outside the work environment. The event was filled with fun, laughter, and various recreational activities, making it a memorable day for all attendees.
CDOE, SMU celebrated pre-Christmas on 16th of December 2024 at the conference hall CDOE. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Sourav Dhar, Director; Dr. Kushal Pokhrel, Deputy Director; and Dr. Ishwer Shivakoti, Assistant Director along with all the faculty members and staffs.
The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Sikkim Manipal University (SMU), in collaboration with the Institution of Engineers (India) [IE(I)], Sikkim State Centre (SSC), successfully organized one-day Technical Seminar on “National Energy Conservation” at CDOE on 13th December 2024 at 11 AM in the conference hall.
Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) organized a joyful pre-Diwali celebration and Ethnic day at the CDOE on 24th October 2024 at 3:30 PM. The event brought together all the faculty and staff, who celebrated the day with great enthusiasm. The conference hall was beautifully decorated with colourful balloons and lights, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The special lecture on the Awareness Programme on Commodity Derivatives, an initiative during World Investor Week – Oct 14-20, 2024, held on 19.10.2024 at Lecture Hall III, SMIMS Building, Sikkim Manipal University. It was a highly enriching and insightful event organized by Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences & Liberal Arts (FHSSLA), SMU.
