Dr. Frieda Bokali P Engheepi has successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis entitled “Impact of Environmental Barriers on Disablement Process of Community Dwelling Elderly in East Sikkim, India- a Cross sectional Study” on 10th May 2024 at SMIMS, SMU in the presence of external examiner from AIIMS, Guwahati.

Being a student of Sikkim Manipal college of Physiotherapy has helped me strengthen my knowledge , confidence, interpersonal skill, and self-esteem. This institute helped me provide a clearer vision and better opportunities for my professional journey.
SMCPT was my primary choice when I decided I wanted to be a Physiotherapist. Throughout my four years here, the college has been a catalyst for my growth as an individual.
It was a great experience with many lessons learned out and beyond. Hope for more student independency. SMCPT does have a great impact on my life.
When I first joined SMCPT, it was the first time I was away from my home and I wondered how I would cope with the change, but now, after seven years here, it feels like a second home to me.
