SMU Medical Journal is biennial peer reviewed ejournal* published under the aegis of Sikkim Manipal University. Prime focus of the Journal is to publish articles related to research in Medical Sciences in Medical, Experimental. and Allied branches (Nursing, Physiotherapy and Biotechnology). A fair number of academics and health care workers undertake small research projects to understand some problems that are confined to the field area they work, but they find it difficult to convince the world at large the significance they feel about it. This Journal provides the platform with aim of helping students, academics and researchers in the field of bio-medical science to project their findings even though they may be feasibility studies, may be limited due to lack of appropriate sample size or lack of sophisticated instrumentation, show negative results or P values are not significant**. This journal publishes original research work (authentication of the data provided may be asked for). All manuscripts are subjected to a review process initially by an assigned reviewer then the editorial board.

Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) organized a joyful pre-Diwali celebration and Ethnic day at the CDOE on 24th October 2024 at 3:30 PM. The event brought together all the faculty and staff, who celebrated the day with great enthusiasm. The conference hall was beautifully decorated with colourful balloons and lights, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The special lecture on the Awareness Programme on Commodity Derivatives, an initiative during World Investor Week – Oct 14-20, 2024, held on 19.10.2024 at Lecture Hall III, SMIMS Building, Sikkim Manipal University. It was a highly enriching and insightful event organized by Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences & Liberal Arts (FHSSLA), SMU.

NSS, Sikkim Manipal University conducted a Plantation Drive in the University campus on18th September 2024 under the Campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (एक पेड़ माँ के नाम) to mark the Birth Anniversary of Padma Bhushan Awardee Dr Ram Das M. Pai, Founding Pro-Chancellor, Sikkim Manipal University.
The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) at Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) successfully hosted its Annual Day Program on 17th September 2024, which also commemorated the 90th birthday of Padma Bhushan Dr. Ramdas Pai.
