- On 21st September 2024, the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) hosted the inauguration of its new studio with an event filled with excitement and grandeur. The CDOE premises was beautifully decorated with vibrant rangolis and fresh flowers, setting a festive tone for the occasion.
- Dignitaries and guests from the Sikkim Manipal University (SMU), Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), and a delegation from the technical team graced the event to lend their support and blessings.
- The ceremony commenced with the Honourable Vice-Chancellor of MAHE cutting the ribbon, symbolizing the official inauguration of the studio. This was followed by the unveiling of the inauguration plaque, also by the Honourable VC, marking this significant milestone in CDOE’s journey.
- In his inspiring speech, the Honourable VC, MAHE spoke about the importance of the studio and its role in advancing online education. His words set the tone for the future of CDOE’s content development and delivery.
- The technical team, during a guided tour of the studio, explored its state-of-the-art equipment, expressing their appreciation for the facilities. The visit further helped the team understand how the studio's infrastructure would support high-quality educational content creation.
- The event concluded with a gathering over snacks, where all participants celebrated the successful inauguration and exchanged ideas on future collaborations, making the occasion memorable.
Some of the key purposes of a recording studio in CDOE include:
- Providing a controlled environment for recording audio and video content.
- Offering specialized equipment and technology for recording, editing, and mixing audio and video content of recorded lectures.
- Allowing for the creation of multiple takes and the ability to edit and mix them together to create a final master recording.
