Event Overview:
On the 1st of August 2024, the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) celebrated a significant milestone with the launch of its MBA course in online education. The event marked a significant milestone for CDOE, showcasing the university’s commitment to providing advanced education and fostering leadership skills among aspiring business professionals. The launch event was held in the CDOE conference hall and was attended by all teaching and non-teaching staff, who gathered to witness this momentous occasion.
- The event commenced with a welcome address by Mr Dipesh Kumar, who highlighted the objectives and vision behind the MBA program.
- A brief overview of the institution’s achievements and future was presented, emphasizing the importance of the new MBA program in aligning with the university’s strategic goals.
- A special moment during the event was the presentation of a scarf (khada) to the Director, CDOE, SMU, Prof (Dr.) Sourav Dhar and Deputy Director, CDOE, Dr. Kushal Pokhrel, in recognition of their extraordinary efforts in launching the MBA program.
- The keynote speech was delivered by Director, CDOE, SMU, Prof (Dr.) Sourav Dhar. shared insights on the current trends in business education and the unique aspects of the new MBA curriculum.
- Director, CDOE, SMU, Prof (Dr.) Sourav Dhar Highlighted the collaborative efforts that led to the launch of the MBA programme. He Extended gratitude to Mr. Ajay Prasad and Mr. Royal Tamang for their significant contributions in preparing the MBA Program Project Report (PPR) in short in a short notice.
- Deputy Director, CDOE, Dr. Kushal Pokhrel, provided an in-depth overview of the MBA program. This included details on the curriculum structure, specializations offered, faculty expertise, and the program’s distinctive features.
- To commemorate the launch, a cake cutting ceremony was held. The beautifully decorated cake featured the MBA program logo, symbolizing the beginning of this exciting new journey
