The Department of Hospital Administration at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences (SMIMS) marked Anti-Ragging Week (12-18 August) with a series of impactful activities to foster a safe and respectful academic environment. The event was organized by the Guest Faculties of Department of Hospital Adinistration, Ms. Anusika Sharma and Ms. Daisy Gyaltsen.

The day's events began with an enlightening orientation on anti-ragging by the respected faculties, underscoring the institution's commitment to zero tolerance for such practices. This was followed by a video presentation on anti-ragging opted from the official website of the University Grants Commission (UGC), emphasizing the gravity of anti-ragging regulations and their importance.

Students engaged in various creative activities designed to raise awareness and reinforce the anti-ragging message. A poster-making competition and an essay writing contest were among the highlights, allowing students to express their views and contribute to the cause in meaningful ways.

The celebration of Anti-Ragging Week not only educated students about the policies against ragging but also provided a platform for them to actively participate in promoting a culture of respect and safety within the academic community.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Rinchen Gensapa, Academic Co-ordinator of the Department of Hospital Administration.
