Admission Open 2019-20

• Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Sikkim Manipal University organised a Regional Seminar on Investors’ awareness and financial education on 18^th of March 2023 with the active involvement of the students of the department. Mr Vikas SS, General Manager, SEBI, Eastern Regional Office, Mr. Pratyush Sengupta from BSE – Investors Protection Fund and Mr. Somnath Mazumdar from Central Depository Services (India) Limited were the Resource persons who presented their deliberations on the issues of Investors’ awareness, financial literacy, and financial education. DHSS, Sikkim Manipal University will further look for collaborations with SEBI. BSE-IPF and CDSL so that the objective of the financial knowledge initiative can be carried forth for the benefits of masses.
• Dr. Madan Chhetri, Programme Coordinator, NSS, SMU delivered the welcome address in the seminar which was moderated by Ms. Deepa Sharma, Assistant Professor, DHSS, SMU. Dean SMIMS, Dr. Muralidhar V Pai motivated the participants with his words of wisdom. Registrar, SMU Prof. (Dr) K.S Sherpa, Deputy Registrar, Dr. Gopal Thapa, IT Head Mr. Anand Ruhela graced the occasion with their valuable presence. The faculties of DHSS were also present in the whole session.
