  • Alcheringa, also known as "Alcher", is the annual cultural festival of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati. The festival was started in 1996 by a group of students of IIT Guwahati. Spread over 3 days and 4 nights, Alcheringa is conducted towards the end of January every year. Every year students of SMIT participates in various events at Alcheringa.
  • This year [2023] 16 Students for SMIT registered and got selected for various event. On 1/02/2023, 16 Students along with one teacher coordinator left for IIT Guwahati to participate in Alcheringa 2023. The details of the Winners are given below:
