Message from The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim and Chancellor of Sikkim Manipal University, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya. 

The Institutions of higher learning are vital for any progressive society and always determine the growth trajectory. They not only shape and build careers, but also contribute significantly to character building and growth. Institutions of higher learning therefore have a big impact on the growth of the country and the progress of humanity at large.

Advances in the field of science and technology have greatly affected our day-to-day lives and changed our world view. The effect can be seen and felt everywhere, starting from primary education to medicine, from healthcare to communication, entertainment, banking etc.

Sikkim Manipal University, through its constituent colleges has been contributing to field of education and healthcare for over two decades. The quality of learning opportunities, values and ethos inculcated by the University among the students is praiseworthy. As Chancellor of the University, I share the joy with the management, faculty, and students on our accomplishments. The University remains focussed on its vision of providing excellent technological and medical education and stays committed towards achieving global leadership in human development. The University is committed towards uplifting lives and providing means of livelihood to the people of Sikkim and the Nation at large. The ignited minds of our faculty and staff bear testimony to the quality that the University stands for.
