    Brig (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Mehta is Associate Dean (student affairs), Professor and Head of the Department of Community Medicine, SMIMS.  

     As HOD my responsibilities include smooth conduction of teaching  of MBBS, BPT & M.Sc Biotechnology students as well as teaching of MD  Community Medicine students, guide to  MD Community Medicine students as well as PhD Scholars. Taking theory and practical classes for under graduate as well post graduate students. Chairman of the Board of studies for Post graduate curriculum.

    Organizing and guiding research projects for medical graduates, guiding post graduate students in thesis work and training them on data collection and research methodology, examiner and expert assistant in University examination of MBBS courses.
