The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences celebrated its First Alumni Meet on 21st May 2022 at SMIMS Auditorium. Dr. Madan Chettri, Coordinator of the department, gave the welcome address. Lt. Gen. Dr Rajan S. Grewal, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, graced the occasion and addressed the event. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor and Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Karma Sonam Sherpa presented souvenirs to the alumni. It was followed by a cultural programme performed by students, faculty members and a screening of video messages by the alumni. Mrs. Srijana Sharma, convener of the department, concluded the programme with a vote of thanks. The event was coordinated by Mr. Sumeet Agarwal, Alumni Coordinator, while Ms. Tenzing Doma Bhutia, Assistant Professor was the MC of the event.
