On 31st August 2024, the Career Counselling Cell of Sikkim Manipal University organized a career counselling session for B.Com 2nd-year students, featuring Mr Raushan Kumar, Business Associate Manager at TATA AIA.
An Orientation Program on the “Scope and implications of the MOU between SMU and The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and The Institute of Company Secretaries of India” was organized for the B. Com and M. Com
NSS, SMU organised volleyball matches on 29th and 31st August 2024 in collaboration with the Sports Department of the University to mark the National Sports Day 2024.
Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Liberal Arts, Sikkim Manipal University held the Deeksharambh 2024 – Student Induction Programme from August 16th to 23rd, 2024.
The special lecture on the opportunities of jobs in the Banking sector was conducted on 27.07.2024 through virtual mode at the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Liberal Arts (FHSSLA), Sikkim Manipal University (SMU). It was a highly enriching and insightful event organized by Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences & Liberal Arts (FHSSLA), SMU in collaboration with MAHE Academy of BFSI.
One day workshop on the usage of Zotero and British Library was conducted in the department of Commerce dated 06/07/2024.
5th June 2024: NSS Sikkim Manipal University observed World Environment Day 2024 with zeal and enthusiasm. A brief orientation session about various prospects of Environment, Climate Change and Challenges was organised on the campus to begin with the celebration.

It was indeed a great pleasure to be a part of Sikkim Manipal University, Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Liberal Arts. Grateful to be given an opportunity to reflect on our learning, to the achievements and the bond of love and respect shared by the students and teachers. I dive into nostalgia and relish the best days of my life.
The past two years in FHSSLA has given me tons of memories that will last a lifetime for me to look back with a big smile on my face. My heartfelt thanks goes to all my department teachers who have given me the motivation to explore myself and my abilities to do better in whichever way I pursue.
Blessed to be a part of FHSSLA, SMU It has taught me many lessons apart from books, I am so grateful to all my faculty members for being so encouraging, supportive and bringing out the best in me. The unforgettable memory of class, college, and campus in Manipal will always remain forever.
It gives me immense pleasure and pride to say that I am a part of FHSSLA, Sikkim Manipal Universit. It has provided me an opportunity of a lifetime to both learn as well as grow as a person. FHSSLA has excellent, well qualified and experienced faculty member who acted as my mentor. FHSSLA will always be a very memorable and happy part of my life.
