Sikkim Manipal Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Liberal Arts (SMFHSSLA) celebrated its Foundation Day and Winterlude 2024 on 19th November 2024.
On 11th November 2024 the students of B. Com First Semester, Department of Commerce, Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Liberal Arts, undertook a hands-on, practical learning experience with a focus on sustainability and eco-friendliness as a part of their course assignment of Financial Accounting-I
On November 8, 2024, the Department of English, in collaboration with the Drama Club of the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Liberal Arts (FHSSLA), Sikkim Manipal University, hosted a special lecture focusing on theatre by Shri Souti Chakraborty, Centre Director of the National School of Drama, Sikkim Centre, Gangtok.
The special lecture on the Awareness Programme on Commodity Derivatives, an initiative during World Investor Week – Oct 14-20, 2024, held on 19.10.2024 at Lecture Hall III, SMIMS Building, Sikkim Manipal University. It was a highly enriching and insightful event organized by Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences & Liberal Arts (FHSSLA), SMU.
NSS, SMU, in collaboration with the Drama Club, FHSSLA staged a Nukkad Natak (Street Play) on the theme “Swachhata and Sanitation” at MG Marg on 2nd of October 2024 to mark the closing of the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign observed from 17th of September to 2nd of October 2024.
The Department of English, FHSS&LA, Sikkim Manipal University in collaboration with the Literary and Academic Club successfully organised a special lecture on Research Methodology on 28th September at Sikkim Manipal University.
NSS, Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences & Liberal Arts, Sikkim Manipal University conducted a Cleanliness Drive in and around the University campus today, 7th September 2024 in collaboration with Government Secondary School, Lumsey, Gangtok to mark the celebration of Swachhata Pakhwada.

It was indeed a great pleasure to be a part of Sikkim Manipal University, Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Liberal Arts. Grateful to be given an opportunity to reflect on our learning, to the achievements and the bond of love and respect shared by the students and teachers. I dive into nostalgia and relish the best days of my life.
The past two years in FHSSLA has given me tons of memories that will last a lifetime for me to look back with a big smile on my face. My heartfelt thanks goes to all my department teachers who have given me the motivation to explore myself and my abilities to do better in whichever way I pursue.
Blessed to be a part of FHSSLA, SMU It has taught me many lessons apart from books, I am so grateful to all my faculty members for being so encouraging, supportive and bringing out the best in me. The unforgettable memory of class, college, and campus in Manipal will always remain forever.
It gives me immense pleasure and pride to say that I am a part of FHSSLA, Sikkim Manipal Universit. It has provided me an opportunity of a lifetime to both learn as well as grow as a person. FHSSLA has excellent, well qualified and experienced faculty member who acted as my mentor. FHSSLA will always be a very memorable and happy part of my life.
