Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) organized a joyful pre-Diwali celebration and Ethnic day at the CDOE on 24th October 2024 at 3:30 PM. The event brought together all the faculty and staff, who celebrated the day with great enthusiasm. The conference hall was beautifully decorated with colourful balloons and lights, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The special lecture on the Awareness Programme on Commodity Derivatives, an initiative during World Investor Week – Oct 14-20, 2024, held on 19.10.2024 at Lecture Hall III, SMIMS Building, Sikkim Manipal University. It was a highly enriching and insightful event organized by Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences & Liberal Arts (FHSSLA), SMU.
On 21st September 2024, the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) hosted the inauguration of its new studio with an event filled with excitement and grandeur.
NSS, Sikkim Manipal University conducted a Plantation Drive in the University campus on18th September 2024 under the Campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (एक पेड़ माँ के नाम) to mark the Birth Anniversary of Padma Bhushan Awardee Dr Ram Das M. Pai, Founding Pro-Chancellor, Sikkim Manipal University.
The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) at Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) successfully hosted its Annual Day Program on 17th September 2024, which also commemorated the 90th birthday of Padma Bhushan Dr. Ramdas Pai.
The event titled “Recent Trends in ECE” was a joint seminar organized by both the ECSA Council as a part of alumni talk and Student Research Forum, SMIT, SMU as a part of Research activity scheduled for the month of August.
The 02nd Annual Meeting of the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) was held on 23 August 2024 at the Conference Hall, SMIMS building, SMU, chaired by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor.

I wish to thank all my teachers at SMIMS for fostering the preliminary medical training that I received during my undergraduate studies at SMIMS – I will always cherish the memories and the campus
If I could turn back time and re-live the SMIMS journey I would! and I am always in gratitude to my teachers for the M.B.B.S educational training I received
I consider myself very fortunate that I did complete my medical school from SMIMS, It is the top echelon of medical education in India.
SMIMS has made me who I am today, and I am ready to take over the challenges that may come in any form, without a doubt the former medical training I received at SMIMS has shaped me to my strongest version.
