Overview

Exploring New Horizons Through
Cutting-Edge Research at SMU.

Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) has been spearheading research in the fields of Health Sciences and Technology since 1992. The university’s charter places particular emphasis on promoting cross-functional research activities,  by providing world-class research facilities & expert guidance.

Sikkim Manipal College of Medical Sciences regularly initiates, encourages, and funds research activities by both faculty and students, in order to foster a spirit of investigation and analysis in healthcare and medicine. Similarly, the Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology actively promotes, organizes, and supports technical research and innovation. Researchers at both institutes get access to research and innovation conducted by their peers and colleagues at Manipal Group universities worldwide. They also actively participate in seminars and conferences worldwide to present their findings and learn about the latest developments in their areas of specialization.
