- Dr Mohonish N Chettri is a Professor of Ear Nose Throat (Otolaryngology ) Head & Neck Surgery in Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences.
- He is also a practicing Ear Nose and Throat Specialist and Head & Neck Surgeon attached with the teaching Central Referral Hospital.
- Major Academic Role includes taking Theory, Clinical and Practical Classes of the department for MBBS Students. He is also a Post Graduate Teacher for Master of Surgery (Otolaryngology) of Sikkim Manipal University and trains Residents in the department for award of degree of MS.
- Clinical role includes examining diagnosing and treating patients presenting to the Department of ENT Head and Neck Surgery, Central Referral Hospital and running Out Patient Clinic (Every Wednesday) and Special Clinics (Head & Neck Rhinology Vertigo Otology ) as per schedule. MS Resident trainings in surgical procedures in Major and Minor OT, Temporal Bone Lab Dissection and Cadaveric F E S S Lab are other designated academic roles.
- He is also an Internal Examiner for MBBS (ENT) for Sikkim Manipal University and an External Examiner for various other universities.

- Executive Body & Member of the North East Branch of the Association of Otolaryngologist of India.
- Life Member of the Neuro-Equilibrium Society of India.
