An Electrical Model for Bronchitis and Emphysema of Human Respiratory System
September 01, 2012 | Saikat Chatterjee T Biswas S Bagchi S Sarkar AK Bhoi
International Journal of Modern Engineering Research (IJMER) We have developed an electrical model which mimics two respiratory diseases. The electrical circuit is analogous to the actual anatomical structure of the breathing system and composed of the passive electrical components (R, L, and C). The transfer function is derived from the electrical model.
Integrated Model of Renewable Energy Sources Feeding Both AC and DC Load
January 01, 2018 | Saikat Chatterjee Sisir Chettri Suyog Pradhan Karma Sonam Sherpa
Advances in Smart Grid and Renewable Energy, Springer, Singapore. Hybrid renewable energy system consists of two or more renewable energy sources combined together allowing improved system efficiency and reliability. Integrating this source creates a stand-alone energy source, i.e., both dependent and consistent. In this paper, an attempt has been made to integrate the power generated by renewable energy sources using programmable logic controller (PLC).
Comparative Analysis of Membrane Potential of Bone Cell and Its Abnormalities
January 01, 2018 | Saikat Chatterjee Anjan Kumar Ray
Advances in Systems, Control and Automation, Springer, Singapore. Osteoblast bone cell is a major part where different types of abnormalities are identified and analyzed. In this paper, electrical modeling of abnormal osteoblast cell is represented. Due to the presence of external field, the membrane potential as well as membrane current also varies. It is also observed that membrane potential of osteosarcoma cell increases compared to normal osteoblast cell.
Impact of Electrophoresis on Normal and Malignant Cell: A Mathematical Approach
January 01, 2022 | Saikat Chatterjee Ramashis Banerjee
Advances in Communication, Devices and Networking, Springer, Singapore. Electroporation is a noninvasive technique for artificial drug delivery systems. This technique uses electric pulses to create transient pores in the cell membrane, which promote the delivery of biologically active molecules into cells. According to the variation of field intensity membrane potential, pore radius, pore density, and effective area of pore also change.
Automatic Irrigation System with Rainwater Harvesting
January 01, 2022 | Saikat Chatterjee Rajeev Sharma Keshab Ch Gogoi
Advances in Communication, Devices and Networking, Springer, Singapore. An automated irrigation system has been developed using sensor technologies interfaced with a microcontroller to efficiently utilize water for irrigation purposes. This paper generally discusses how the accuracy of the sensors needs to be maintained so that the problem of false turning on and off of the motor can be eliminated. The resistive type soil moisture sensor which was used earlier does not provide accurate moisture reading with respect to the type of soil, the climatic condition, geographical area, and also the sensor is exposed to corrosion with time. So to overcome these problems, the implementation of capacitive soil moisture sensors has been done into the agricultural land.
