The much-awaited smit inter-section futsal competition (men) took place from August 29th to September 1st, 2023. The competition required each section to send a team of five players, all of whom had to be 1st-year students. A total of 11 teams registered for the competition and the matches were played with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship.
The final match of the tournament was a nail-biting affair between BSc-A 1st year and section f, with both teams giving their all to win. In the end, section f emerged as the deserving winner, with their players exhibiting excellent teamwork and skill.
The tournament's best player was Ayush Rizal, a 1st-year student from section f, whose exceptional performance on the field left everyone in awe. His agility, speed, and precision made him stand out from the rest.
The highest goal scorer in the tournament was Sankalp Chettri, a 1st-year student from BSc-A, with an impressive tally of 15 goals. His accuracy and technique were unmatched, and he proved to be an asset to his team.
Finally, the smit inter-section futsal competition was a resounding success, and it provided a platform for young, talented players to showcase their skills and passion for the sport.
