The Department of Physiology established in 2001 imparts basic science education to medical as well as allied health science courses and gradually converting into a Clinical Physiology for giving an idea of functioning of the human body in different disease condition.

The department offers courses to study the branch of Medical Science which deals with the normal functioning of human body and changes in the human body system from birth to old age.

  • Equipped with the sophisticated instruments for all types of basic clinical experiments.
  • Problem based learning has been introduced.
  • Curriculum is well designed based on the MCI guidelines.
  • Regular Tutorials and “Audio-Visual” demonstrations are given on varied topic of interest

  • To develop a strong foundation for future doctors by making them competent to learn “How a human body functions in normal and other supra-normal environments?”
  • To motivate the young and interested doctors in acquiring the higher knowledge of physiology either by joining the ‘post-graduate’ courses or the ‘research’ programmes of physiology.
