Sikkim Manipal College of Physiotherapy is elated to be a successful partner to Khelum Foundation since 2023.
Khelum foundation is a Sikkim-based non-profit that fosters grassroots sports culture through year-round football training, inclusive tournaments, and coach education programs.
Their Grassroots Football School offers structured training that emphasizes both physical fitness and social skills, while our Grassroots Playday League provides age-specific competitive opportunities to enhance player development without the pressure of selection or trials. They were recently awarded the 'best grassroot academy' in India by the All-India Football Federation.
SMCPT has been diligently promoting and providing services to the organisation with MPT post-graduate students assisting in on-field medical and physiotherapy aid in the events organised.
On 27th July 2024 , representatives from Khelum foundation expressed their gratitude and laid out concept plans for continued future collaborations with Principal SMCPT Prof. Nikita Joshi Sonowal. They congratulated and facilitated the college for their efforts.
