Webinar on “Mental Health Challenges for Healthcare Professional DURING COVID-19 Pandemic”

Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing (SMCON) has organized a national webinar on “Mental Health Challenges for Healthcare Professional during COVID-19 Pandemic” on 11th December 2020 between 3pm - 5pm. The objective of the webinar was to update the target group on the challenges, impact of COVID-19 on Healthcare Professional and how to manage it. The webinar was conducted in the Microsoft Teams (MST) Platform. 230 participants from various institution/organization of different parts of the country attended the webinar.

Overview: Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing (SMCON) has organized a national webinar on “Mental Health Challenges for Healthcare Professional during COVID-19 Pandemic” on 11th December 2020 between 3 pm - 5 pm. The objective of the webinar was to update the target group on the challenges, the impact of COVID-19 on Healthcare professionals, and how to manage it. The webinar was conducted in the Microsoft Teams (MST) Platform. 230 participants from various institutions/organizations of different parts of the country attended the webinar.

 

Program: The webinar began with a welcome note by Mrs. Arkierupaia Shadap, Organizing Secretary of the webinar. The first session was delivered by Prof. Champa Sharma, SMCON on the challenges of healthcare professionals during the COVD-19 Pandemic. The second session was delivered by Mr. Vithoba N Mhalkar, Faculty of Mental Health Nursing, Institute of Human Behavior, Bambolim Goa. He emphasized the impact of COVID -19 and methods to manage it. Questions and queries of participants were answered by the experts after the lecture sessions.

 

Feedback: Participants were asked to give their feedback in a structured feedback questionnaire containing 7 questions. The majority of the participants expressed that the webinar was very informative, interesting, and effective. They also have expressed that it was well organized.
