On 26th June 2023, The Academic Committee, Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing organized an ‘Intra College Academic Event’. 17 students enthusiastically took part in it. The events included Creative Writing Competition (English and Nepali), Extempore Speech Competition and Debate Competition.

On 26th June 2023, The Academic Committee, Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing organized an ‘Intra College Academic Event’. 17 students enthusiastically took part in it. The events included Creative Writing Competition (English and Nepali), Extempore Speech Competition and Debate Competition.
The topic for Creative Writing Competition was ‘Nature Versus Nurture’, ‘Cultural Pride’ and ‘Sex Education’ judged by Prof. Champa Sharma (Principal SMCON); Prof. Reshma Tamang; Mrs. Prerna Karki (Associate Professor); and Mrs Shrijana Pradhan (Assistant Professor). There were 6 participants out of which Ms. Divya Parsai and Ms. Pembula Bhutia Stood 1st and 2nd position respectively. For Debate Competition, the topic was ‘Mobile banking safe or not? judged by Prof. Binita Khati; Mrs Arkierupaia Shadap Pandey (Associate Professor) and Mrs Shrijana Pradhan (Assistant Professor). Each team had 3 members and the Winning team was Team B (against the motion) whose member were Ms. Annie Adhikari, Ms. Pallavi Pradhan and Ms. Muskan Gurung. The ‘Best Speaker’ for the competition was bagged by Ms. Aastha Chettri. In Extempore Speech competition, judges were Prof. W Ashalata Devi; Dr. Barkha Devi (Associate Professor); Mrs. Sonam Zangmu Sherpa (Associate Professor) and Mrs Pranita Sharma (Assistant Professor). The winner was Ms. Swastika Rai and Runner up was Ms. Kiden Ongmu Lachungpa. At the end of the event Winner were awarded with trophies and certificates and all the participants were given certificate of appreciation.
