The special lecture on Regional Investor Seminar for Awareness (RISA)held on 25.04.2024 at Lecture Hall of  Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing (SMCON), Sikkim Manipal University. It was a highly enriching and insightful event organized by Faculty Of Humanities, Social Sciences & Liberal Arts (FHSSLA), SMU exclusively for the nursing students and faculties.

 

 

 

The objective of the lecture was to address the issues on the following themes:

  1. Do's and Don'ts for a new investor in Stock Market.
  2. Basic Analysis to be used by a New Investor for selecting the stocks.
  3. Do it yourself Systematic Investment Plan versus Mutual funds.

 

The event featured the esteemed speakers Mr. Pratyush Sengupta, BSE Investor Protection Fund. They brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the lecture, making it a valuable opportunity for the attendees to learn.

The event witnessed a robust turnout of around 100 plus participants from SMCON. The diverse audience contributed to a vibrant atmosphere, fostering engagement and interactive discussions. Dr. Madan Chhetri, Coordinator, FHSSLA, SMU anchored the whole session along with the welcome address followed by vote of thanks address by the Principal of SMCON, Prof. Champa Sharma.
