Topic: “Scope And Implications of The Mou Between SMU And The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) And The Institute Of Company Secretaries of India”
An Orientation Program on the “Scope and implications of the MOU between SMU and The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and The Institute of Company Secretaries of India” was organized for the B. Com and M. Com students of the Department of Commerce by Ms. Deepa Sharma, Nodal Officer of the MOUs and Course Coordinator, Department of Commerce, FHSS&LA. Ms. Deepa Sharma was also the speaker for the events. The event was held in four phases in respective BCOM and MCOM classes from 29th August 2024 to 31st August 2024. ICAI and ICSI are premier professional bodies under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India and SMU has signed MOUs with both the institutions to foster academic collaboration and faculty and student support. The objective of the orientation program was to inform the students about the scope and importance of Chartered Accountancy and Company secretary course in India. The various queries of the students regarding the course and the nature of MOUs were discussed and resolved.
