The Sports Council 2024 at SMIT organized an exciting sporting event, the Open Cricket Tournament 2024, igniting the campus with fervent cricketing spirit. Commencing on the 6th of February 2024, the tournament culminated in an electrifying finale on the 11th of February 2024, witnessing an array of talent from students across all years.
The tournament format encompassed matches of escalating intensity, beginning with 10 overs per inning for preliminary matches and intensifying to 15 overs per inning for the finals.
Throughout the tournament, the coordinators ensured a seamless orchestration, with live commentary reverberating through the airwaves and refreshments replenishing the spirits of players, faculty members, and volunteers alike. The Open Cricket Tournament 2024 stands as a testament to the indomitable spirit of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and excellence that epitomizes the vision of SMIT.
