B. Tech (CE, ME); Passed 10+2/equivalent with 45% marks (40% in Reserved Category) in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector. Entrance Test: JEE / MET / SMET (SMIT Entrance Test)
B. Tech (CSE, ECE, Electronics Engineering [VLSI Design & Technology], EEE); Passed 10+2/equivalent with 45% marks (40% in Reserved Category) in Physics & Maths (Mandatory) and any one from Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology / Biology / Chemistry / Informatics Practices / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational subject / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies / Entrepreneurship or Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector. Entrance Test: JEE / MET / SMET (SMIT Entrance Test)
Lateral B. Tech (CE, CSE[DS], CSE, CSE [AI & ML], CSE [IoT & Cyber Security including Blockchain Technology],CST, CS&IT, ECE, Electronics Engineering [VLSI Design & Technology], EEE, IT, ME); Passed Diploma in any branch in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% in Reserved Category) OR B.Sc with at least 45% marks (40% in Reserved Category) and passed 10+2 exam with Mathematics as a subject OR Passed B.Voc./3-year D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector. Merit based on marks in the qualifying examination
M. Tech (Computer Science & Engineering, Structural Engineering, Hydrology & Water Resources Engineering) Passed B.Tech Degree or equivalent. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination GATE / Entrance Test conducted by SMIT
SCIENCE COURSES
Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) Passed 10+2 or equivalent in any stream. Merit based on marks in the qualifying examination
Master of Computer Application (MCA) Passed BCA / B.Sc (Computer Science) / B.Sc (IT) / B.E (CSE) / B. Tech(CSE) / BE(IT) / B. Tech (IT) / Equivalent degree OR Passed any graduation degree (BE/B. Tech/B.Sc/B.Com/BA/B.Voc/etc.), preferably with Mathematics at 10+2 or Graduation level and Obtained at least 50% marks (45% for Reserved Category) in the qualifying exam Entrance Test conducted by SMIT
B. Sc Physics/ Phy (Hons.)/ Phy (Hons. with Research) Passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. Merit based on marks in the qualifying examination
B. Sc Chemistry/ Chem (Hons.) / Chem (Hons. with Research) Passed 10+2 or equivalent with Chemistry as one of the subjects.
B. Sc Mathematics/ Mathematics (Hons.)/ Mathematics (Hons. with Research) Passed 10+2 or equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
B. Sc Applied Psychology / B. Sc Applied Psychology (Hons.) / B. Sc Applied Psychology (Hons. with Research) Passed in 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% in any stream Final selection will be based on personal Interview.
Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports (B.P.E.S Degree) / BPES Honors / BPES Honors with Research Passed 10+2 or equivalent in any stream Merit based on marks in the qualifying examination
M. Sc (Phy, Chem, and Maths) Passed B. Sc (Gen/Hons.) in relevant subject Merit based on marks in the qualifying examination
M. Sc Applied Psychology Passed a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UGC recognized university Final selection will be based on personal Interview.
MANAGEMENT COURSES
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Passed 10+2 or equivalent in any stream. Merit based on marks in the qualifying examination
Master of Business Administration (MBA) (Marketing, Human Resource, Finance, Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Banking and Insurance, Operations, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Event Management and PR) Passed Bachelor in any discipline with 50% marks (45% for Reserved Category) MAT/CAT/GMAT/CMAT score / University selection process (Direct GD/PI)
Ph.D. Passed PG Degree in relevant discipline University Entrance Test/ NET

Note : Candidates from Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh and other SAARC countries are also eligible to apply for the courses offered by SMIT. If they are selected on the basis of merit, the admission will be given under general category.

Eligibility for hons. with research: Students who secure 7.5 CGPA and above in the first six semesters and wish to undertake research at the under graduate level can choose a research stream in the fourth year
