People consider wellness only in terms of physical health - nutrition, exercise, weight management, etc., but it is so much more than just diet and exercise. Wellness is a holistic integration of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, fuelling the body, engaging the mind, and nurturing the spirit.
To make students aware of the impact of Sedentary lifestyle and educating them regarding all lifestyle related diseases like Vein-related problems, Heart disease, High cholesterol, High blood pressure (hypertension), Thyroid, Diabetes, Obesity, PCOD etc. Decoding Wellness workshop was organized.
The program started by stress management activity Isha Kriya - a guided meditation by Sadhguru, a simple yet powerful meditation technique for one's inner wellbeing. The session was an interactive session where six pillars of wellness - Food, Exercise, Sleep management, Stress Management, Belongingness and Environment. The main objective of the workshop was to show the students healthy alternatives to start picking up healthy habits. The program ended with the vote of thanks to participant and sharing them link to participate in 5 days 8 glasses water challenge starting from 11th Feb 2024 to 15th Feb 2024.
