National Science Day, celebrated annually on February 28th in India, commemorates the discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C.V. Raman in 1928. To honour this significant milestone and promote scientific fervor, a poster presentation competition was held on National Science Day 2024. The event aimed to provide a platform for budding scientists, researchers, and students to showcase their innovative ideas and research findings. The competition attracted participants from Basic Science Department SMIT. Participants included undergraduate and M.Sc students, as well as research scholars, each presenting their work in diverse scientific disciplines ranging from physics , chemistry to Mathematics The success of the event was made possible through the collective efforts of organizers, participants, judges and volunteers. Their dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to promoting scientific inquiry and education were instrumental in making the poster presentation competition a resounding success.
