DESCRIPTION:

The Sports Council 2024 of Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology conducted the Open Basketball Tournament 2024, which took place from the 4th March to the 13th of March 2024. The games were scheduled from 5:30 PM to 8:45 PM each evening, ensuring a thrilling spectacle for all spectators. In the ultimate showdown, the finals for girls witnessed a clash of "Warriors" vs "BSL", with a score of 62-02. For the boys, "The Boys" took on "Dame Time", as they went head-to-head in a fierce battle for the championship title, with a final score of 30-58 respectively. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as fans cheered on their favorite players, adding to the intensity of the game. The best player for the girls is Pema Eden Bhutia and the best player for boys is Sonam Wangyal Bhutia. The event was a successful collaboration of the Sports Council with the Department of Physical Education and Sports.
