The Sports Council of Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology conducted the Squash Open Tournament on the 7th and 8th of March. Students from various years across all the departments took part in the event. We had 7 boys and 3 girls.

DESCRIPTION:
The Sports Council of Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology conducted the Squash Open Tournament on the 7th and 8th of March. Students from various years across all the departments took part in the event. We had 7 boys and 3 girls. The boys matches were conducted in a knockout format with Nim Sherpa and Swapnil Saikia playing the finals and Swapnil securing the win. The girls matches were conducted in a league format. Every girl was to play with the other two. Shambhavi Giri secured the first place winning 2 out of 2 matches. Thushara Shenoi secured the runners up spot winning 1 out of 2 matches. The event was a successful collaboration of the department of Sports and Physical Education and the Sports Council.
