BRIEF DESCRIPTION/REPORT WITH GEO-TAGGED PHOTOGRAPH OR SCREEN SHOTS:
The Hands-on Workshop on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) was conducted on 3rd April, 2024 by the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering for the students of ATTC, Bardang. The workshop aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of UAV technology, its applications, and basic flying skills. It was organized to cater to individuals interested in exploring the rapidly evolving field of drones. The workshop comprised several sessions, each focusing on different aspects of UAV technology and operation. It began with an introductory session of ECE Dept. by HoD, ECE. Resource Person, Dr. Dipanjan Bhattacharjee covered the technical session by covering UAV technology, components, and applications. This was followed by sessions on regulations, safety, flight principles, and flight planning along with Campus Darshan covering up the facilities provided by the institute as well as the department. A significant portion of the workshop was dedicated to hands-on activities. Participants were provided with UAV kits and guided through the assembly process. They learned about each component and its function, troubleshooting common issues, and safety protocols during assembly. Subsequently, participants engaged in flight training sessions where they learned basic flight controls using simulators and practiced flying small UAV models under expert supervision. These sessions focused on developing fundamental flying skills such as hovering, maneuvering, and emergency procedures. The Hands-on Workshop on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles proved to be a valuable learning experience for all participants. By the end of the workshop, participants gained a solid understanding of UAV technology, regulations, safety guidelines, flight principles, and basic flying skills. The Workshop concluded by providing the participation certificates to the students of ATTC, Bardang.
