On 9th & 10th August 2024, The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in association with knowledge partners Indian Nursing Council (INC), AHPI, CAHO, and AIMED organized a National level Health & Nursing Summit at Grand Chennai by GRT.
On 9th August, National Health Summit and Healthcare Excellent awards 2024 was held, where many eminent corporate institutional CEO’s gave an insight into the healthcare challenges and measures to collaborate health with technology to meet the global health care demands.
On 10th August, National Excellence Summit and Nursing Excellence awards 2024 was held where the session was graced by Lt. Col. (Dr) Sarvjeet Kaur, Secretary, Indian Nursing Council. She emphasized on significance of active and collaborative efforts of educational institutions in curriculum enhancement and enrichment to prepare nursing graduates and post graduates capable enough to aid in the attainment of better health and nursing care.
One among the eminent speakers was Prof. Champa Sharma, Principal, Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing (SMCON), Sikkim Manipal University who gave an insight on the strategies to be planned, developed and implemented by the councils, educational institutions, CEOs, unit heads to work towards future ready nursing model.
Nursing institutions from all over India were nominated for the award wherein Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing was awarded the 3rd Best Nursing College in Eastern India. It was indeed a proud moment for SMCON and Prof. Champa Sharma, Principal, SMCON to receive such a prestigious award.
