Final Year B.Sc. Nursing students from Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing (SMCON) organized a Mock Drill on the topic Fire, Earthquake, Landslide along with Good and Bad touch which was conducted at Government Junior High School, Tumlabung, East sikkim. Around 40 students along with Headmaster, Principal and 2 teachers of the school, attended the program. The program started with a welcome address by M.C followed by an educative role play on First Aid management of Fire, Earthquake and Landslide followed by demonstration by the students of SMCON. Students also emphasized on Helpline Numbers to tackle the Disasters. A quiz session was conducted to evaluate the knowledge of the students on the above-mentioned topics and a small token of appreciation was given to the students of GJHS who took part enthusiastically. The program was remarked exceptional by the Headmaster Sir Mr. Arjun Gurung and he further informed the gathering about the importance and why awareness about Disaster Management is necessary in school and community. The program ended with positive feedback by the attendees of school and with a vote of thanks.
