AV AIDS EXHIBITION

Teaching and learning has been a part of life since the origins of humanity and it has evolved through times to include various tools and techniques. The tools utilized are commonly called as Audio-visual aids which are those sensory objects or images which initiate, stimulate and reinforce learning. Its primary purpose is to supplement and enrich teachers own teaching to make teaching-learning more concrete and effective. The AV aids exhibition serves as a conduit to unveil the creativity in keeping with the principles of Audiovisual aids.

 

The 1st year M. Sc. Nursing students of Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing (SMCON) organized an Audio Visual Aids Exhibition on 09/12/2022 in the college premises under the able guidance and leadership of Ms Arkierupaia Shadap, Associate Professor, SMCON. Audio Visual Aids utilized in the teaching learning process were exhibited which included various non projected aids like puppets, microphone, cartoons, diagram, pictures, photographs, pamphlets, handouts, booklets, flipcharts, charts, maps, graphs, model, moulage, peg board, magnet board, chalk board, flannel board among many others and various projected aids like Overhead Projector, Television, PowerPoint and LCD projector. The exhibition was evaluated by two experts Prof. Reshma Tamang, Professor, Department of Child Health Nursing, SMCON and Ms Shashirani Pangambam, Associate Professor, Department of Medical Surgical Nursing, SMCON. Later the AV aids were exhibited to the faculty and students of Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing.
