Environment is defined as a complex of physical, chemical and biotic factors (such as climate, soil and living things) that act upon an organisms or an ecological community and ultimately reminds its form and survival. Environmental Sanitation is defined as the control of all those factors in man’s physical environment which exercise or may exercise a deleterious effect on his physical development health and survival. Environmental pollution includes air, water, land and noise pollution. Prevention of these pollution at individual, community and national level should be done in order to prevent health hazards and to keep environment neat and clean.
The aim of this project was to impart knowledge regarding environmental sanitation, environmental pollution and its prevention among the patient relatives.
The group project was attended by HOD, Department of Paediatric, Deputy Nursing Superintendent and Assistant Nursing Superintendent with total of 40 audience. The project was divided into two parts- role play and health education and demonstration of hand washing technique with the help of suitable AV aids prepared by the students. The session was ended by quiz at the end wherein token of appreciation was given for the participants.
