On November 6, 2023, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) hosted a school outreach program for Lingee School, with the participation of 6 students and 1 faculty members. The day's events unfolded as follows:
The program commenced at 10:30 AM with the arrival Lingee School students at C quadrant, SMIT.A warm welcome awaited them in Room no. A309 , where the School Outreach Program team presented traditional khadas and mementos to the students and faculty member. To help students make informed career choices, the Admission Cell at SMIT provided a succinct career counseling session. A presentation on Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology was presented by Dr. Dipanjan Bhattacharjee, A mid-morning high tea break was provided at 11:30 PM, allowing participants to refresh and interact. From 11:30PM to 1:00 PM, students were given a tour of SMIT's various facilities, including the library, Atal Incubation Center (AIC), Automobile Lab, Machine Lab, AP Lab, Super Computing Lab and Marena. The program concluded with a group photo to capture the day's memories. This well-organized and educational visit aimed to introduce students to higher education prospects, provide insights into career pathways.
