On October 20, 2023, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) hosted a school outreach program for Ratey Pani School, with the participation of 7 students and 1 faculty members. The day's events unfolded as follows:
The program commenced at 10:00 AM with the arrival Ratey Pani School students at C quadrant, SMIT.A warm welcome awaited them at the Central Coordination Forum (CCF), where the School Outreach Program team presented traditional khadas and mementos to the students and faculty members. To help students make informed career choices, the Admission Cell at SMIT provided a succinct career counseling session. A presentation on Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology was presented by Dr. Bibeth Sharma A mid-morning high tea break was provided at 11:00 PM, allowing participants to refresh and interact. From 11:15 PM to 12:00 PM, students were given a tour of SMIT's various facilities, including the library, Atal Incubation Center (AIC), Automobile Lab, Machine Lab, AP Lab, Super Computing Lab. The program concluded with a group photo to capture the day's memories. This well-organized and educational visit aimed to introduce students to higher education prospects, provide insights into career pathways.
