GDSC SMIT organised a 7-day Bootcamp where participants learned about groundbreaking topics such as UI/UX, Cloud essentials, App Development with Flutter, Web Development with React JS. Machine Learning and Cybersecurity. Over 7 days, the participants created 150 projects on Figma, 45 projects on Flutter, 45 projects on web development, 50 projects on LLMs and Deep Learning Models and ran sessions on vulnerabilities and CTFs.

EVENT SUMMARY

GDSC SMIT organised a 7-day Bootcamp where participants learned about groundbreaking topics such as

UI/UX, Cloud essentials, App Development with Flutter, Web Development with React JS. Machine Learning

and Cybersecurity.

Over 7 days, the participants created 150 projects on Figma, 45 projects on Flutter, 45 projects on web

development, 50 projects on LLMs and Deep Learning Models and ran sessions on vulnerabilities and CTFs.

Day 1:

Resource Person: Kuldeep Bora and UI/UX Team

We started our bootcamp by welcoming all participants following a heartwarming speech by Associate

Director(SA) Prof. (Dr.) N. K. Bhattacharyya Sir. Following this Dr. Himangshu Pal addressed the gathering. Then

we had a session on Figma, how to use it and created a landing page on Figma. We also taught students

about platforms they can deploy their project to.

Day 2:

Resource Person: Abhijnyan Das and Cloud Team

On day 2, we started with an introduction about what Cloud actually is. Then we taught students how to create an account on Firebase and connect a simple authentication system using Firebase.

Day 3 - Day 6:

We divided into 4 teams where each team taught a specific domain.

Machine Learning

Resource Person: Shivam Sourav and ML Team

We started with an introduction on Kaggle and taught participants LLM's from scratch. We built over 45 Models teaching participants the different applications of AI, Google Gemini and more.

App Development

Resource Person: Aryan Lohia and App Dev Team

We taught students how to code using Dart and the basics of Flutter. Following this, we also taught

participants how to create a basic ecommerce app using Firebase as the database.

Participants were allowed to experiment and create their own versions of the app.

Web Development

Resource Person: Pooranjoy Bhattacharyya and Web Dev Team

We taught students how to code using Javascript and the basics of React. Following this, we also taught

participants how to create a portfolio website while teaching concepts like React Hooks and Animations.

Participants were allowed to experiment and create their own versions of the websites.

Cybersecurity

Resource Person: Madhurjya Das Gupta and Cybersecurity Team

Over 4 days, the participants practiced PicoCTFs along with advanced concepts like BurpSuite,

Metasploitable2, IP Tracking etc. The students also learnt remote Android Hacking.

Day 7 - Day 8

Participants participated in a 3 hour long hackathon where each one of them created their own projects. The

projects were then evaluated by our panel of judges who finally decided on a ranking.

We concluded with the Prize Distribution Ceremony attended by Director Sir, Associate Director(SA) Sir,

HOD (CSE) and HOD (AI&DS) who gave away the prizes to the winners. Post this, we had the hi-tea and

concluded our event.

I thank all the faculty members for constantly supporting us as well as the ACCESS club of CSE Department

for their contributions. Without their support, this event would not have been possible.
