The Annual SWOC Analysis Meeting for 2024 was conducted on 3rd Feb 2024 (Saturday) from 10:00 am in F - 405. The event was organised by the Quality Cell, SMIT. The event was graced by Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, SMU, AVM (Dr.) D.C. Agarwal, VSM, Director, SMIT, Cdr. (Dr.) G. L. Sharma, all Associate Directors, Heads of Departments and Heads of Offices of SMIT.
Inaugural Address by AVM (Dr.) D. C. Agarwal, VSM, Hon'bl VC, SMU
In his General Address, Hon'bl VC SMU stressed upon the importance of team work and critical assessment of steps taken to identify strengths and weaknesses.He lauded the faculty and staff of SMIT for their commitment towards excellence and also reminded them of the Manipal legacy of excellence. He harped upon the need to identify deliverables and stand up and deliver on commitments towards students. Director, SMIT in his address presented the work done over the last two years to improve quality. He also gave general guidelines to conduct SWOC analysis.
Morning session concluding remarks by Cdr. (Dr.) G. L. Sharma, Director, SMIT
In the later part of the morning session, Prof. Ajeya Jha, Prof. Sangeeta Jha, Prof. Kalpana Sharma, Dr. Dhruva Kumar, Prof. Biswaraj Sen and Dr. Bikash Kumar Sharma presented the quality and performance outcomes of their respective directorates.
The post lunch session consisted of group discussions among faculty members organized in four groups namely Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Challenges. Post group discussions, the groups presented their findings and the meet ended with general thanks by the organizers and a group photograph.
