Overview

The M.Sc. in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) at PSPH is a transformative two-year, full-time programme designed to equip professionals with expertise in evaluating healthcare technologies, economic assessment, evidence synthesis, and policy formulation. Developed in alignment with the standards of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Department of Health Research (DHR), and the Medical Technology Assessment Board (MTAB), this programme combines global best practices with India-specific healthcare insights.

Students will gain hands-on experience through internships, research projects, and real-world case studies, preparing them for leadership roles in evidence-based healthcare decision-making. The curriculum balances theoretical learning with practical applications, empowering graduates to influence policy, drive healthcare innovation, and contribute meaningfully to public health.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (preferably health sciences) from a UGC-recognized university.
  • Minimum 55% aggregate marks (or equivalent).
  • Applicants must complete all academic requirements of their bachelor's degree before July 31 of the admission year.

Selection Criteria:

  • Academic performance and eligibility screening.
  •  Personal Interview (PI) to assess suitability.
  • Merit-based selection based on eligibility, academic scores, and PI performance.
