Vikshit Bharat 2026 is an initiative aimed at engaging youth in discussions on national development, governance, and key historical and contemporary issues, thereby encouraging informed practices in nation building.
District Level:
The district level competition was held on 2nd March 2026 at ICFAI, Gangtok with approximately 40–50 participants representing various institutions. The topic assigned was “National Emergency of 1975 and its impact.”
Each participant was given a time limit of 3 minutes to present their views before a panel of esteemed dignitaries.
Two students from SMCPT:
- Raksha Kumari (BPT 2nd Year)
- Samridhi Khati (BPT 3rd Year)
qualified among the Top 5 candidates to advance to the State Level.
State Level:
The State Level competition was conducted on 26th March 2026 at SC Bhawan, Gangtok. The topic for this round was “Union Budget 2026.”
Competing against 25 participants from various districts:
- Samridhi Khati secured 6th position
- Raksha Kumari secured 4th position
