Blood Donation Camp

On the auspicious occasion of the International Nurse's Week, a blood donation camp was organized by the Red Ribbon Club of Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing in collaboration with Blood Bank of Central Referral Hospital. The motive behind the camp was to help the patients who are in need of blood at various hospitals. A team of doctor, nurses, technician, faculty, 6 volunteers and all the donors collaborated in making the event successful. More than 70 people voluntarily turned up to donate their valuable blood. Faculties, students from various departments and the residents of the nearby areas enthusiastically participated in the program. After proper requisite screening of all the voluntary donors, 48 units of blood were collected in the camp. A donation card and refreshments were given to each donor as a token of gratitude. The event was a great success.
